Disaster Recovery

What is a Disaster?

In Computing terms a 'Disaster' is a significant event that prevents you from being able to use your computer systems, typically for an extended period. Such events include hardware failure, virus attack, user error, theft and fire.

A worst case Disaster Event is generally considered to be the complete loss of a Business Facility. Remember the Buncefield Oil Refinery explosion at Hemel Hempstead in 2005?

Be they major or minor, Disasters happen. It's a fact. Although we can't prevent them, there is a great deal that can be done to recover should such an event take place.
